Prep time: 10 minutes
Bake time: 9 minutes for gooey soft cookies 10-11 minutes for firmer crisp cookies
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup or 2 sticks of softened butter
1 cups of granulated white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
3 Tbsp Vanilla Extract
2 large eggs
1 bag of semi-sweet chocolate morsels or 16 oz of chopped semi-sweet chocolate
1 small size mixing
1 large size mixing bowl
Or 1 Stand mixer
1 cookie sheet or pan
Take out butter to soften 10 - 20 minutes before hand to soften or you can be like me not having 10 minutes to spare and microwave butter on love for 25 seconds to fast soften.
Preheat your oven to 375° F.
If using semi-sweet chocolate not morsel chop and set aside
In a small bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixing bowl until creamy. (or can just use stand mixer)
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Then gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels or chunks.
Use two tablespoon and drop dollop of dough onto parchment lined baking sheets or pan
BAKE for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. I personally only bake for 9 minutes because I like softer gooey cookies but if I am using as a crumble topping I will bake for the full 11 minutes for a firmer cookie.
Once you take the cookies out of the oven let them Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks or serving plate to cool completely then enjoy!
